So you think you can't...paint the Sistine Chapel? That may well be true, but perhaps Michelangelo Buonarroti (1475-1564) could not have done the fabulous ceiling if he had never before picked up a paint brush. If he had not sought out other artists to learn from, if he had not practiced the basics he needed from which to build his craft, he would not have been the one commissioned in 1504 to repaint the ceiling with the images that remain today.











Okay, so most of us won't achieve the status of immortal artists, but many of us will achieve the satisfaction of having created something beautiful and imaginative with our hands and our minds. It is said, the difference between a published author and an unpublished author is the published author finished the book.
